Inspired by local ingredients and shifting seasons, Fern celebrates thoughtful food, good company, and slow evenings.

Tap Bar

Steeped in history the oak panelled Tap Bar is a cosy bar area with traditional ales and beers on offer. Alongside a bar snack menu and brilliant selection of wines and spirits. The perfect spot for a pint or a glass or two with friends, or escape to relax in. Don't forget our snack menu is available throughout the day across our restaurants.

Fern Restaurant

​Fern Restaurant is situated in the front of the hotel and offers a more intimate dining experience, with picturesque views over the market square of Uppingham.

Our menu is led by ingredients — not trends — and shaped entirely by what’s growing, reared or landed nearby.

Our drinks reflect our values too.  We’re especially interested in organic wines, and British Aperitifs and our lists are an exploration of this.

Afternoon Tea

Sweet and savoury treats, what's not to love! Relax, catch up with friends or celebrate a social occasion with our delicious afternoon tea. Sweet treats, home baked scones and tasty sandwiches, make even better with a glass of bubbly.  

Our afternoon tea is available on Friday, Saturday & Sunday between 3.00pm – 5:30pm.

Breakfast

Start your day right with a Falcon Hotel breakfast. Our delicious breakfast menus cover a range of specialities and traditions.   Breakfast is served from 7am-11.30am in the Main Restaurant Monday - Friday and 8am - 11am over the weekends.

Catering for all occasions our 

function rooms offer the perfect areas for small and intimate events to larger parties and weddings. From canapés to set menus, our chefs will ensure a delicious menu for all, bespoke and catering to your needs.
